Lughnasadh

Happy Lughnasash? Merry Lughnasadh? The joys of Lughnasadh to you?

Today is the Celtic harvest festival Lughnasadh.

I love learning about others’ beliefs.  I love that old Celtic festivals are still celebrated today.  I know purists will argue that the people that have picked up the old pagan beliefs are “wrong” or whatever. But I doubt that modern Christian celebrations very much resemble the early incarnations.

Wait, I need to stop.  I was starting to get all philosophical.  And I only meant to be (mostly) silly.

I have decided that I was meant to be Celtic because there are really only four things needed for any Celtic celebrations: food, alcohol, bonfires, and sex.  So, you’ll have to excuse me as I have to perform some religious rites.

Slainte.
